Leigha Basini, Secretary

Leigha Basini is a Korean adoptee and attorney who has devoted her career to implementing programs and developing policies to improve the U.S. healthcare system. Her extensive state and federal health policy expertise, combined with her ability to build strong partnerships across the healthcare sector, have delivered powerful results throughout her career. She has operationalized many laws that expand access to healthcare and coverage at the federal level and has operated programs at the state and local levels that provide healthcare and insurance. She is passionate about strategic planning and in-depth policy analysis. She has over 20 years of experience successfully managing teams.

Basini has a BA from Queens University of Charlotte, a JD from Tulane Law School, and a certificate in Public Sector Leadership from Cornell University. She is admitted to practice law in New York. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, creating art, and eating Korean food.
