Karen Jung

Karen Jung is Director of Operations at Andersen, a firm that provides a wide range of tax, valuation, financial advisory and related consulting services to individual and commercial clients. Prior to her career transition in early 2024, Karen spent her entire career serving clients in various areas of tax. She leverages her past tax experience and understanding of the industry to now manage teams effectively and implement processes for more efficient operations of the Metro DC offices. Karen is co-lead of the People of Color and Allies Affinity Circle at Andersen. She has been actively involved in mentoring and supporting the development of Asian professionals.

Karen is a Korean American who spent her childhood moving between various regions of the US and Busan, Korea. She ended up in the DMV area to attend Georgetown University, where she studied Finance and International Business. In 2013, she began volunteering with ASIA Families to share her knowledge and love of Korean culture with others. Within ASIA Families, she has found friends and such a strong sense of community and that is why she has joined the Board for the second time.

Karen lives in Northern VA with her husband and two children and enjoys eating and outdoor activities such as camping, with her family.
